The revitalization of Ohio's Ohio DEC subdivision is well underway. We have heard from over 500 of you regarding the need and direction ODEC should take as well as we had a very productive rejuvenation meeting on April 12th. What's next for ODEC? 1. We've just kicked off our annual membership drive. We are aiming for 100 new members between now and May 31st. Please visit our website to learn more about becoming a member or getting others to become a member. http://fp.dl.kent.edu/odec/Membership.asp 2. We are looking for strong leaders to self-nominate to serve on ODEC's executive board. Please visit our website to learn how you can be involved: http://fp.dl.kent.edu/odec/Nominations.asp 3. If you haven't had a chance to complete the online survey, it isn't too late. The first round of data are posted on our website, but we'd still love to hear from you. Remember, we are looking for family members, direct service providers, students, faculty members, administrators, state agency representatives or others involved in the lives of young children (those from birth to eight years of age) who are at risk, disabled, or considered typically developing to complete the following brief survey. Your responses will help guide the revitalization effort surroundings Ohio 's DEC subdivision. The survey takes less then five (5) minutes to complete. With your help, Ohio 's DEC subdivision can once again help to improve the lives of young children and their families. http://newmedia.kent.edu/earlychildhood/ If you have any questions regarding the survey or Ohio's DEC subdivision please contact Dr. Kristie Pretti-Frontczak (kprettif@kent.edu) at Kent State University. We will seek a second round of survey responses through May 31st.
